How SMS consent is collected and managed on the platform.

01Overview

Zaras AI is a field service management platform used by small businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, home services) to manage scheduling, dispatch, estimates, and invoicing. As part of the platform, businesses may send transactional SMS messages to their customers regarding scheduled services. This page describes how end-user consent is collected and managed.

02How consent is collected

Zaras AI is a platform provider (ISV). Individual field service businesses are the message senders. Zaras AI facilitates message delivery on behalf of these businesses via Twilio.

Businesses using Zaras AI collect SMS consent from their customers during the service intake process. When a business adds a customer to their workspace, or when a customer engages with the business through the platform, an SMS opt-in checkbox is presented with the following disclosure:

The checkbox is unchecked by default. The customer must actively check it to consent.

03Types of messages sent

Messages sent through Zaras AI are strictly service-related and transactional. They include:

Below are examples of the types of messages a customer might receive:

Appointment reminder
Hi {name}, this is a reminder that your service appointment with {business} is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Reply STOP to opt out.
Technician en route
{business}: Your technician {tech} is on the way and should arrive in approximately 30 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.
Estimate notification
{business}: Your estimate #{number} for {amount} is ready to review: {link}. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Invoice alert
{business}: Invoice #{number} for {amount} has been sent to your email. Thank you for your business! Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Rescheduling notice
{business}: Your service appointment has been rescheduled to {date} at {time}. Reply HELP for support or STOP to opt out.

04Opt-out & help

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT) to any message. After opting out, a single confirmation message is sent and no further messages will be delivered.

Recipients may reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information.

05Data privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share end-user phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
